Local Organizations

These organizations are doing all they can to help local communities stay informed and supporting impacted families and individuals get the help they need. They need your help to help keep you and your neighbors safe. Consider donating or volunteering your time and skills to help support their efforts.

CHIRLA - Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights

CHIRLA advocates for immigrant rights, organizing, educating and defending immigrants and refugees in the streets, in the courts, and in the halls of power.

At CHIRLA, civic-minded immigrant families work for a world where they are free to move, participate in democracy, and enjoy human rights. CHIRLA relies on the love and vision of our community to organize and build power among people, institutions, and organizations to change public opinion and craft progressive policies that promote human, civil and labor rights for everyone.

Community Self-Defense Coalition

The Community Self-Defense Coalition comprises various grassroots organizations in Los Angeles. Their mission is to provide support and advocacy to ensure the safety and rights of all immigrants, regardless of their status.

Union Del Barrio, Centro CSO, Harriet Tubman Center for Social Justice, Black Men Build, as well as the L.A. chapters of the Association of Raza Educators, Jewish Voice for Peace and Anakbayan-USA are among the 60 groups that make up the coalition.

Immigrant Defenders Law Center

ImmDef delivers comprehensive deportation defense, legal representation, education, and wraparound social services to over detained and non-detained immigrants—children and adults. Their team includes attorneys, advocates, and staff who are immigrants or descendants of immigrants, allowing them to provide culturally responsive legal services rooted in lived experience and deep community ties.

Mark The Spot - LA

Mark The Spot is grounded in the belief that democracy depends on an informed public and neighbors who protect one another. We believe memory is a form of resistance, visibility is a civic duty, and silence in the face of harm is never neutral.

Request A Sign

Request a (free) Mark The Spot sign to visibly document where ICE has abducted members of your community. Each sign helps raise awareness, preserve collective memory, and resist the normalization of state violence.

Volunteer

Help distribute signs, support local coordination, document sites, or assist with outreach and trainings. No matter your capacity, your participation helps build a visible, people-powered movement in your community.

Local Regulations

Mark The Spot signs are protected under the First Amendment as political speech. Non-commercial political signs displayed on private property and temporary signs placed in public space are afforded strong constitutional protections. We encourage participants to follow local placement guidance while exercising their right to free expression and civic participation.
